Pure Farming

A realistic farming simulation game featuring global locations, licensed machines, and diverse crops. It combines authentic agricultural mechanics with accessible gameplay for a broad audience.
Development features:
- Field Workers AI: Implemented AI-driven assistants capable of autonomously performing farming tasks like plowing, sowing and harvesting with dynamic behavior and pathfinding.
- In-Game Tablet UI: Designed and integrated an in-world tablet interface for managing farm operations, market info and mission tracking.
- Vehicle & Machinery Systems: Developed realistic steering, suspension and physics for a wide range of licensed vehicles and farming equipment.
- Audio Programming: Integrated dynamic sound systems for vehicles, environments and machinery with layered audio reactions based on gameplay states.
- Steam API Integration: Added support for achievements via Steamworks API.
- Modding System: Built a standalone in-game modding tool, allowing players to import and customize vehicles with ease.
Challenges & Learnings:
Working on Pure Farming 2018 was a deep dive into the complexity of simulation game development. Creating responsive Field Workers AI involved fine-tuning pathfinding and task prioritization to handle complex field conditions, while also integrating seamlessly with vehicle mechanics—requiring precise coordination between autonomous decision-making and the game’s intricate driving and attachment systems. Additionally, designing an accessible yet powerful modding tool pushed me to balance usability with technical flexibility.
This project sharpened my problem-solving skills and deepened my experience in gameplay systems, UI/UX integration and cross-system coordination.
